Sarah and John’s wedding day was amazing. With forecasts threatening thunderstorms and a tornado watch, we lucked out tremendously with overcast skies (perfect lighting) and not a single rain drop. These two were married downtown Des Moines at St. Ambrose Cathedral. Oh my goodness is that church beautiful! I could shoot there all day long. And with the reception at the Temple for Performing Arts, Sarah and John had a gorgeous day from beginning to end. The day was filled with so much laughter – I remember smiling behind my camera throughout the entire day.
Between the Ceremony and Reception we drove around the city on their party bus, stopping to take photos along the way. I can’t thank these two enough for trusting me throughout the day. They let me choose where to stop for photo locations and had complete faith in me and my ideas!
Sarah and John -Thank you for inviting me into your day and allowing me to work with your amazing families! Thank you so very much for choosing me as your wedding photographer. Enjoy looking through my favorites!
Sarah wore her Grandmother’s necklace and had her bouquet wrapped with lace from her Mom’s wedding dress.
My second shooter Jenae had the idea to hang the dress from this spot- I love it so much!
Sarah chose to have a first look with her dad!
Nearly half of the wedding party attended Dowling, so we stopped by the football field for some photos.
Your pictures are BEAUTIFUL! You really captured the beauty and the emotions of the entire day! Thanks for sharing!
