Andrea and Ryan could not have been more fun to spend the day with! Their wedding day was the perfect start to the 4th of July weekend and what an amazing celebration it was! I absolutely loved all of the details that helped tell their story; these two did an amazing job planning out their day. What started out as a little innocent heckling on Andrea’s part, when she spotted Ryan with a Cubs hat on (Andrea being from St. Louis is, of course, a Cardinals fan) turned into a gorgeous beginning to a beautiful marriage.
With the forecast threatening rain, we were extremely lucky to have it rain only during the ceremony while everyone was tucked away at Christ the King. By the time these two were pronounced husband and wife, the skies had cleared up a bit and it was perfect for photos! We were able to stop downtown to get the Des Moines skyline in a few before heading to Rollins Mansion for the evening’s festivities. Cynthia at Vintage Love, Rentals and annessi did a wonderful job with all of the decor and setup. She worked so well on the fly when the decision was made to move the reception indoors due to the rain. And it was gorgeous!
Andrea and Ryan ended the day dancing with their friends and family along to the Heath Alan Band. The perfect ending to their first day of marriage!
