Macy & Jake | Des Moines Engagement Photographer

I met Macy and Jake bright and early for their sunrise session downtown at The Riverwalk Hub. Not only do I love the soft morning sunlight and the quietness of the city as the sun rises, but these two were so great to work with!

The Hub holds a place of significance for these two, it was where they went on their first date! After Macy and her aunt pretended to be looking for their lost cat (which was not so lost) just to give Macy a chance to meet Jake. These two got engaged this summer and next year will celebrate their first day of marriage on Macy’s birthday!

After wandering around the Des Moines Riverwalk we ventured over to Water Works Park and included their dog, Boomer in a few photos. (A big thank you to Macy’s parents for taking care of Boomer when he wasn’t in the photos!) I cannot get over how pretty the light was that morning! Enjoy a few of my favorites!
